The primary role of a Business Development Manager is to attract new clients by networking; cold calling; advertising or other means of promotions that generate interests in potential clients. They must then plan persuasive methods that will convince the potential clients and then pitch in with them to do business with the company. They must build a rapport with new clients and set targets for sales and provide support that will continually improve the relationship.

Responsibility

  • Should identify new trends and create ideas in the industry after a thorough research of the market considering factors like related events; announcement; publication; tracking individual contributors and their achievements.
  • Identifies potential clients and proposes business deals by building a good rapport with the clients and exploring opportunities
  • Looks for potential business deals; Analyze market strategies; deal requirements; prospects; financials; assessing possibilities; determining internal priorities; recommendation of fair and impartial investments choice
  • Expands negotiating ideas and position by assessing and including new methods and ways with company strategies and operations; inspecting risk; evaluating partners’ needs and goals
  • Closes new business deals by coordinating with clients; developing ideas; negotiating contracts and integrating contract requirements with business operations
  • Protects company’s value by maintaining confidentiality
  • Takes part in industry events; such as association meetings and conferences; and provide feedback and information on market strategies and creative trends
  • Identify possibilities for campaigns; services; and distribution channels to increase the sales
  • Identify and develop the company’s value propositions and differentiators by studying the market and analysing competitors
  • Elevates organization reputation by exploring opportunities to add value to the job accomplishments
